On November 20th 2023, the Art Building plaza in SHBS transformed into a lively and extraordinary charity sale, welcoming the largest Thanksgiving charity event. Students, together with their parents, collaborated and participated in planning and activities to express their love and gratitude through actions.

Innovative Planning: Transformation of the Art Building Plaza and Token Design

Innovation became the primary keyword in planning this Thanksgiving charity event. Choosing the Art Building plaza for the charity sale for the first time provided a spacious and bright space filled with an artistic atmosphere. The charity sale had a total of 22 stalls, making it the largest scale charity event to date. In addition, students independently designed and created unique tokens that served as a medium of exchange, furthermore, added fun to the event.

Thorough Preparation: Handmade Soap Production in Advance

Several months ago, the library organized students to engage in handmade soap production. The meticulously crafted handmade soaps were each unique, showcasing the students' creativity and excellent craftsmanship. These soaps became the star products of the charity sale and represented the students' serious preparation for the event.

Diverse Range of Products: Feast of Food and Creative Items

This year's Thanksgiving charity sale featured a wider variety of products than previous years. Delicious foods such as sugar-coated hawthorns, Korean instant noodles, barbecue, bubble tea, fruit juice, as well as handmade fresh meat moon-cakes and pastries, were presented in abundance. Non-food items like wearable nails, jewelry, hairpins, stress-relief toys, socks, eye masks, etc., greatly enriched the options for shoppers. Some booths even offered opportunities for paid interactions with pets, attracting numerous animal lovers.

Active Parental Involvement: Great Practice of Coeducation

During this charity sale, parents came to the campus, not only working side by side with their children during the sales process but also personally cooking various delicacies. The participation of parents made the children felt the warmth of their families in addition demonstrated the spirit of cooperation between home and school, creating an unforgettable educational experience for the children.

Slide left and right

Amidst laughter and joy, the Thanksgiving charity sale concluded successfully. The revenue from this event reached a historic high, and all the proceeds will be used for the school's charity projects and campus development. In the charity sale, students not merely gained friendship and growth but also made contributions to the school's development. Let us look forward to next year's Thanksgiving charity sale and once again experience this warmth and joy!
