In this semester, under the guidance and support of the Student Union's Club Department, our school’s student clubs have flourished, injecting vibrant colors and youthful energy into campus culture. The Club Department has steadfastly upheld its original mission of “serving students, enriching life, promoting exchange, and growing together,” wholeheartedly building platforms for clubs to thrive, helping students explore their interests and grow through practice.

This semester, many clubs launched a wide array of engaging activities. The following ten clubs offer a vivid snapshot of the exciting campus club life:

Debate Club: A Transformation from Zero to One

This semester, the Debate Club systematically enhanced members' debating skills through 3 topic workshops, 5 skill training sessions, 2 mock debates, 1 intra-school tournament, 1 CAS preparation session, and 1 official CAS competition, along with 2 English proficiency tests. Through real competitions and post-match reviews, members progressed from novices to competent debaters. While individual progress varied, the team’s overall debate literacy and performance improved significantly.

In-Depth Soccer Club: Enhancing Skills and Teamwork

With 10 regular training sessions and 4 friendly matches, the Soccer Club focused on technical skills such as passing, ball control, and shooting, as well as tactical drills in offense, defense, and physical endurance. The friendly games honed not just skills but also team synergy and cohesion, making the Soccer Club a vibrant highlight of campus life.

Meow Meow Land Club: Public Good Meets Creativity

Centering on caring for stray cats, core members worked tirelessly in all weather to build shelters, while the design team crafted thoughtful publicity campaigns. A cozy cat shelter was successfully completed, and a charity sale raised 3,000 yuan, setting a heartwarming example of campus philanthropy.

Doof Club: A Fusion of Food and Culture

Under the theme “Global Culinary Experience,” members collaborated under teacher guidance to prepare international dishes. The event was not only a feast for the senses but also a cultural journey that built inter-grade friendships and deepened bonds among members.

World Shaper: Building a Promising Future

This semester focused on technical depth, with four specialized training sessions (March: microcontroller basics & 3D modeling; May: TTS voice synthesis). Members consolidated their technical foundations. In the “Smart Eye Lock” project, they completed 4 hardware assembly rounds and 5 debugging sessions, optimizing system response time. The “Aircraft Model Project” included 2 body assemblies and a trial flight, exploring practical applications in aerospace engineering.

Nice2cu Club: Exploring Tradition and Innovation

The club advanced along three main axes: routine activities, WeChat public account operation, and Xiaohongshu content creation, with full member participation. Through collaboration with a special education school, members deepened their understanding of autism. The club plans to establish a tiered training system to promote continuity and development.

Lure Fishing Club: Bridging Theory and Practice

The club offered systematic instruction in lure fishing theory (gear combinations, rod specs) and hands-on skills (gear setup, knot tying), and organized on-site training at a partner base. Members refined their expertise through practical experience and post-training reviews.

Travel China Club: Promoting Ethnic Culture

Led by a student from Yunnan, the club served as a cultural bridge: members hand-made and innovatively adapted Dai ethnic foods (e.g., Paoluda, pineapple rice), learned the joyful bamboo dance, performed Dai cultural elements during the Chinese Language and Culture Festival, and watched a documentary on Hui ethnic development. These activities greatly broadened cultural horizons and deepened members' sense of unity in China’s diverse culture.

SHBS Computing Club: Empowering Practice with Technology

The club successfully integrated and optimized a GPT-powered site with a mall site, adding a project intro page and a clear user guide. Simulated stress tests were conducted for peak-time mall orders and multi-user GPT conversations. Using tools like Google Lighthouse and JMeter, they optimized code and server performance, ensuring stability and smooth user experience.

Emotion Learning Club: Self-Exploration through Diverse Lenses

The club hosted diverse activities across three formats:

·Film Discussions: Focused on themes of family ("Hear My Voice"), relationships ("Our Happy Time"), and education ("Gaokao: Days and Nights in Maotanchang"), sparking deep reflection.

·Discussion Salons: Covered family structures, relationship patterns, and educational systems, blending psychology with personal stories.

·Artistic Expression: Activities like “Colorful Family Paintings” and “Relationship Scripts/Comics” inspired creativity and emotional expression.

In addition, other clubs such as the OC Club, Traditional Chinese Medicine Club, Model Club, Brainstorm Club, Mad Math Club, Photography Club, Stand-up Comedy Club, Dadian Lake Wetland Watchers, Animal Exploration Club, Music Club, Rap Club, Badminton Club, Frisbee Club, Creative Makeup Club, Therapeutic Game Design Club, Table Tennis Club, Fitness Club, Drama Club, Band Club, Yearbook Club, and Simulated Imaging Club also showcased their talents and creativity, contributing uniquely to the vibrant campus culture.
