The first cicadas sang from the treetops, and the summer breeze carried its warmth into our embrace. With the soft click of a refrigerator door, the seven-day international curriculum orientation camp at SHBS quietly began. And as the cicadas grew silent and the door closed again, this journey, too, gently drew to its close. To mark the end of this shining time, we invited beloved parents and teachers to gather in the auditorium for a heartfelt farewell.

Upon entering the hall, dozens of student works were quietly on display—delicate handicrafts, vibrant paintings—all silently flowing with creativity and grace.

The talent show opened with an energetic performance of “Summer in a Small Town”, a collaboration between senior students and Grace and Seven. The lively rhythm of the drums intertwined with clear, bright vocals, like sunshine spilling into the hall, igniting a youthful atmosphere.

Next, a review video began to play. Filmed and edited by the media team, the lens became their pen, capturing countless sincere smiles and touching moments. It not only relived the touching highlights of the seven days but also focused on every face that grew from unfamiliarity to confidence, engraving the footprints of growth in exploration, collaboration, and challenge.

Tiffany Deng shook the stage with his performance of “Razorhead”. With drumsticks in hand, his steadily intensifying rhythm burst into fiery energy, setting the audience ablaze. Dylan Wu followed with a solo of the Slam Dunk theme song—the pounding drums and ringing cymbals evoked the fiery passion of Sakuragi Hanamichi’s decisive moments, leaving the hall stirred and moved.

Then came “Don’t Call Me Da Vinci”, with Dylan Wu still on drums while his peers sang freely. The joy and freedom flowing through the music deeply touched everyone in the audience.

When the energy reached its peak, the atmosphere shifted into the tenderness of instrumental music. Amy Zhao’s piano solo of “A Moment of Romance” flowed gracefully like drifting clouds, its gentle narration drawing the audience into a faraway reverie. As soon as Frank Dong’s violin began, the melody of “Czardas” filled the hall—an emotional resonance between heart and instrument that left listeners deeply entranced.

The dance performances bloomed with diversity: from the fierce vibrancy of K-pop’s “Fearless” to the elegant subtlety of the classical dance “Cold Shadows in Winter”. Melody Mao and Keelin Zhu expressed their individuality and attitude through the language of movement.

Under the spotlight, music and stage fused together. Ivan Xie’s “Find Myself” was heartfelt and moving; Marvis Wu’s “Always Online” was gentle yet resolute; David Wu’s “Highway to Hell” radiated confidence; Eric Zhao’s “Long Time No See” carried rich nostalgia; and Amy Zhao and Rose Yang encouraged each other not to be lost with their duet “Lost”. Oliver Zhang and his team combined a cup rhythm dance with rap in a creative act that ended in a brief silence—before waves of applause and cheers surged through the hall. It was the sound of youth in full bloom.

Amid the interplay of light and shadow, the students themselves had become the brilliance. Seniors and freshmen together powerfully sang the musical piece “This Is Me”: “It was you who found me in the corner; it was you who let me rise like the morning sun out of the abyss.” This was not just a performance but a strong stand against campus bullying.

Time converged in this moment, and youth boiled with our presence. The final program of the evening was sung together by all students—“So Alive”. Our voices intertwined into a galaxy of stars, each heartbeat resonating in unison. More than just singing, it was the most passionate confession of our love, freedom, and radiant youth. Meanwhile, the big screen replayed precious moments of the past week, allowing us to relive the emotions and forever treasure both this night and the brilliance of the past seven days.
