On the first day of the new semester, we launched the highly anticipated CAS event—the Water Challenge. More than just a game, it was a celebration designed to foster community bonding and bring refreshing joy under the scorching sun. This year’s challenge featured two creatively designed segments, perfectly blending tests of teamwork with moments of unrestrained fun.

The first segment was the "Water Balloon Relay." Though the rules seemed simple, they greatly tested the students' coordination and tacit understanding. Each class selected ten students to form a line. Their task was to pass water-filled balloons from the front to the back by tossing them backward, ultimately landing intact balloons into a bucket at the end of the line. The key was that every toss had to be made backward, meaning no one could see where their teammates stood—relying entirely on trust and Coordination.

At the referee’s signal, the first water balloon was tossed into the air, tracing a somewhat "nervous" arc. Some teams worked in perfect sync, passing balloons smoothly down the line, while others were less coordinated, resulting in balloons "sacrificing" themselves mid-air, accompanied by bursts of surprise and laughter. This segment was full of suspense, as every successfully passed balloon became a "exclusive weapon" for the next round of fun. It was not only a competition but also a buildup to the excitement that followed.

Once the relay concluded, the real happy began. Students armed themselves with the water balloons they had earned in the first round and brought out their own water guns, instantly turning the playground into a joyful battlefield. The goal was no longer to win, but to fully enjoy "the happiness that playing with water brings."

Students quickly formed alliances and employed various tactics: some drew attention head-on, while others flanked or distracted. Water streams crisscrossed in the air, balloons burst among the crowd, and any sense of unfamiliarity melted away in the cool spray. To everyone’s delight, the principal and teachers wholeheartedly joined the water battle. They either "fought" students with water guns or found themselves "surrounded" in the chaos, vividly illustrating the bond between teachers and students as both mentors and friends. Everyone’s face glowed with excitement; clothes were thoroughly soaked, but hearts were filled with sheer joy.

As the water battle came to a close, everyone’s energy and joy were captured in that evening. Winning or losing no longer mattered. What truly mattered was that through this activity, students strengthened friendships and broke the ice through teamwork, while teachers and students participating together brought them closer.

This was not only a refreshing break from routine but also a vivid lesson in unity, trust, and self-expression. We believe that the collective spirit forged in this joy will continue to inspire everyone to embrace new excitement and challenges in the future.
