SHBS library has always upheld the philosophy of “nurturing through culture and educating through activities.” This commitment not only breaks through the traditional boundaries of library functions but also turns cultural immersion and activity-based engagement into a unique mode of education. At the heart of this transformation is Ms. Jenny, who oversees the library’s work. With meticulous thoughtfulness and remarkable efficiency, she continues to expand the library’s value in meaningful ways.


一般图书馆的核心场景,多围绕“人与书的链接”展开:学生来此借阅书籍、静心阅读,在书海中获取知识,书是主要媒介,人与书的互动是核心场景。而在Jenny老师的推动下,宏润博源图书馆在此基础上,更注重“人与人的链接”,从单纯的知识储存地,变成了家校沟通、师生互动的温馨桥梁,她精心策划并组织了一系列精彩纷呈的特色活动。

Traditionally, libraries focus on the core connection between people and books—students borrowing books, reading quietly, and gaining knowledge from a sea of texts. Books serve as the main medium, and interactions between people and literature form the primary scene. However, under Jenny’s leadership, this library goes further—it emphasizes the connection between people. It has evolved from a mere knowledge repository into a warm bridge for communication between teachers, students, and parents. Through her thoughtful planning, Jenny has curated a series of vibrant and distinctive activities.

其实,Jenny老师对“以文化人”的实践早已体现在细节中。此前,她就带领团队巧妙地将书本知识与校园生活结合:给校园里的花花草草贴上专属标签,标签上附有二维码,学生扫码便能了解植物的学名、生长习性、文化寓意等。这让大家在漫步校园时,能随时与身边的植物“对话”,在熟悉周围环境的过程中,悄然接受文化的滋养。

In fact, Jenny’s practice of “nurturing through culture” is evident even in the smallest details. Previously, she led her team to creatively integrate book knowledge with campus life—labeling plants around the school with tags featuring QR codes. By scanning them, students can learn about the plant’s scientific name, growth habits, and cultural symbolism. This allows them to “converse” with nature during casual strolls around campus, quietly receiving cultural nourishment as they become more familiar with their surroundings.

同时,Jenny老师也通过多元活动践行“以活动育人”。馆内常年订阅《中国日报》《经济学人》等中外报纸,她定期组织“读报沙龙”,邀请老师带领学生共同研读,解析时政热点、探讨国际形势。学生们在交流中拓宽视野,逐渐培养起关注社会、心系国家的责任感,成长为关心时事的当代青年。

Jenny also actively practices the concept of “educating through activities” through a wide variety of programs. The library regularly subscribes to China Daily, The Economist, and other Chinese and international newspapers. Jenny frequently hosts “Newspaper Reading Salons,” where she invites teachers to guide students in analyzing current affairs and discussing global issues. These sessions broaden the students’ horizons and gradually nurture their sense of social responsibility and civic awareness, helping them grow into globally-minded youth.

为了让活动真正成为联结的纽带,Jenny老师在与家长、毕业生的沟通上倾注了大量心力:提前通过班级群与家长沟通活动细节,耐心解答疑问以调动参与热情;主动联系毕业校友,分享校园近况以唤起他们的归属感。在传统美食体验活动中,正是她的前期协调,让家长与孩子们得以顺利分工协作——有的调配秘制酱料,有的包裹荷叶,有的围在灶台边等待出炉。袅袅炊烟中,她穿梭在人群里,用镜头记录下亲子互动的温馨瞬间,活动后又连夜剪辑成视频分享,让欢笑与默契得以留存。

During traditional food-making events, her meticulous coordination allows parents and children to work together seamlessly—some prepare secret sauces, others wrap ingredients in lotus leaves, while many gather around the stove in eager anticipation. Amid the aromatic steam, Jenny moves through the crowd, capturing warm moments of family interaction. She later edits the footage into heartfelt videos, preserving the joy and bonds formed during the event.

端午佳节期间,Jenny老师同样忙碌:从邀请毕业生返校,到安排在校师生与他们交流,再到现场指导扎艾叶环、编松针扫帚,每一个环节都凝聚着她的用心。活动中,她一边组织大家聆听习俗讲解、动手实践,一边抓拍毕业生分享回忆、家长与老师交流心得的画面,后期再将这些片段剪辑成短片,让温馨和谐的氛围定格成永恒。

During the Dragon Boat Festival, Jenny was once again fully engaged: inviting alumni back to campus, arranging interactive sessions with current students and teachers, and guiding hands-on traditions like making aromatic herb rings and pine-needle brooms. She simultaneously organized storytelling sessions about festival customs, facilitated alumni reflections, and captured touching exchanges between parents and teachers—all later edited into a short film, turning fleeting warmth into lasting memories.
